There's no one as Irish as Barack O’Bama!

Following musical tributes to Senator Obama from India to Jamaica, and controversy over Senator Clinton's role in Northern Ireland, the Irish band Hardy Drew and the Nancy Boys have sent us their hilarious new song. The band writes: "We think Senator Obama will change the atmosphere in the world. He will reenergise foreign policy and influence positively some of the troubled areas in the world we live in today." Anyone who's heard him speak will know he's kissed the Blarney Stone. Hopefully the 40 million Irish-Americans will back him all the way to the White House - and I'm sure he'd be happy to indulge the bands request for a little Riverdance! There are other Irish Obama songs, here's one to the tune of Danny Boy (P.S. As with almost every other nationality, there's an Irish Obama fan group on Facebook.)

O’leary, o’reilly, o’hare and o’hara
There’s no one as irish as barack o’bama
You don’t believe me / I hear you say
But baracks as irish / As was jfk
His granddaddys daddy / Came from Moneygall
A small irish village / Well known to you all
Toor a loo, toor a loo, toor a loo, toor a lama
There’s no one as irish / As barack o’bama
He’s as irish as bacon / And cabbage and stew
He’s Hawaiian he’s Kenyan / American too
If he succeeds / And he has a chance
I’m sure our barack / Will do riverdance
Toor a loo, toor a loo, toor a loo, toor a lama
There’s no one as irish / As Barack O’Bama
